We are Brett Quintett, a professional woodwind quintet founded by five musicians stationed at the United States Military Academy at West Point. We formed Brett Quintett to bring music we love directly to New York and the Hudson Valley, a community we call home.
We take our name from Catheryna Rombout Brett, the remarkable 18th-century woman who built her life and her legacy on the banks of the Hudson River just miles from where we rehearse. Like Madam Brett, we are committed to building something lasting in this region — not through land or commerce, but through music and human connection.
We believe that chamber music, at its best, is a conversation. A conversation between us as musicians and a conversation with our audience.
